A passion for collecting memories leads to a career in international education
María del Pilar Bonilla's passion for international education is a part of a carefully curated treasured collection of memories and experiences.
"I studied abroad in Australia for two years," said the Colombian native. "I collect memories, and my most treasured memories are the people and cultural experiences. I remember laughing with my friends and traveling all over Australia and Thailand."
María joined NexPay about a year and a half ago, just as COVID was changing the landscape of international travel.
"I like that I get to talk to people all day and build meaningful relationships," she explained. "I enjoy talking to people from other countries. It's the best way to know what's going on in the world. I can't wait for the day I get to visit with my clients in person!"
As the global payments company's country manager for Mexico and Colombia, María ensures NexPay's products meet their needs and works with the product department for any modifications necessary.
"I like being a part of the process that helps students fulfill their dreams of studying abroad," she said. "Living and studying abroad is the best way to open your mind and learn about other cultures."
